Mission

Yakima Valley Community Foundation invests in our local communities to create change. Our work is focused on equity in education, health, and civic engagement. We address complex conditions and systems, and provide opportunities for those who have been historically and frequently overlooked and left behind. Act Six and Ready to Rise

As a philanthropic community foundation, we manage and grow funds for our community's benefit and grant to charitable organizations in Central Washington. We also manage several programs and coalitions. Act Six and Ready to Rise are college access and success programs that we support with funding and two full-time staff members. The programs provide leadership training, cohort building, and provide support to throughout college for first-generation students from Yakima County in Washington State.
