Mission

The mission of the North Alabama Coalition for the Homeless (NACH) is to educate the public regarding homelessness, and to coordinate and facilitate the efforts of agencies, communities and concerned citizens into a seamless Continuum of Care (CoC) to affect positive solutions to homelessness.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

HMIS Administration, Client Services, Case Management

NACH is the lead HMIS (Homeless Management Information System) agency for AL-503 Continuum of Care. Duties include HMIS user training, HMIS license management, fulfil HUD and partner agency reporting requirements, Point-in-Time (PIT) Count support, and HMIS updates to meet changing HUD data quality standards. Client Services includes Coordinated Assessment, housing application assistance, and referrals to partner agencies for additional services. Case management is a personalized, integrated experience where a case manager walks a client from unsheltered or at-risk of homelessness into housing, while providing them with community resources to help them maintain their housing and get and remain employed.
