What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Problem Overview Outreach Israel Ministries is an educational ministry, mainly serving the leaders, congregations, and people within both Messianic Judaism (Jewish people who believe in Jesus as Messiah) and the Hebrew Roots movement (mainly non-Jewish people from Christian backgrounds who practice some form of Messianic Judaism). As an educational ministry, we have been principally established to assist in the spiritual and theological development of this religious movement. Significant questions, many of which originate from the complicated history of Jewish-Christian relations, need to be addressed.

Prison Ministry

The Holy Scriptures tell us to "Remember the prisoners…" (Hebrews 13:3). Men and women in today’s prison system, very much turn to the Lord Yeshua and the Holy Scriptures, to make sense and meaning of their lives. Throughout the history of Outreach Israel Ministries, we have done our best to answer letters and requests from prisoners, to let them know that they are loved, and that we are here to pray with them and to provide them with the materials that they need for their studies.

There are thousands of people in the United States prison system who have become Messianic! We hear stories of different units, in both state and federal prisons, that have Messianic groups meeting on Shabbat that are just as large as your average Messianic congregation in America. Often, these groups are led from within the prison, with the prison chaplain(s) offering some oversight.

As an educational ministry, we certainly have many resources which can aid these people. When we receive a prisoner letter, it is answered with a hand written note, and not a pre-written form letter. Almost always, several books or publications are requested. In order for everyone to receive a free book, usually the first book requested is mailed. We also make sure that each prisoner knows that he or she can contact us at any time, and that we will be there to write back. We envision the day when the Lord will raise up a prayer army for Outreach Israel Ministries and Messianic Apologetics from within the prison system!

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Outreach Israel Ministries, as an educational ministry, aims to provide both written and audio/video teachings to the people we serve in the Messianic Jewish community. We are in dialogue and fellowship with various other leaders and teachers within this movement, principally through our association with the International Alliance of Messianic Congregations and Synagogues (IAMCS). While we do not have our own "congregation," per se, we do help provide Biblical teaching resources and expertise to Messianic Jewish congregations and their people.

Outreach Israel Ministries makes use of both local and national Messianic Jewish venues, to network with different leaders and the people within our movement, in order for our presence and perspective to be known. These include the Messianic congregations located within the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, as well as major Messianic Jewish conferences (i.e., the annual Messianic Jewish Alliance of America Messiah Conference), which attract an international audience.

Outreach Israel Ministries widely employs online and social media venues for connecting with Messianic people, on a weekly, if not daily basis. We have our two main websites (outreachisrael.net; messianicapologetics.net). Our printed monthly newsletter, Outreach Israel News, is available freely online, and to request subscribers. Our Messianic Apologetics website hosts daily podcasts, discussing a wide array of theological issues pertinent to our faith community, as well as various current issues. Video teachings posted to YouTube are also available in an audio format, via iTunes, iHeartRadio, Spotify, and other podcast sources.

Outreach Israel Ministries as a publisher currently (2020) offers 49 titles. These notably include our Messianic Helper Series, mainly addressing the holidays and customs of Biblical and Jewish holidays, and our various commentaries. From 2006-2016 our ministry produced Messianic commentaries on all of the letters of Paul. Our current energies are being focused on releasing books on Christology (the nature of the Messiah). An ongoing goal is to see our books released to a wider market, which would include exhibiting at various national Messianic events, as well as employing our publications for various teaching series in our online podcasts.
