What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Outdoor and Environmental Education
Provide hands on outdoor and environmental education opportunities for school groups, after school programs, and communities.
Watershed Protection and Restoration
Empowering community members, schools, churches and businesses to improve protection of our watersheds, our stream and river water since that is what provides our drinking water and recreational waters. Accomplished through green infrastructure, septic tank rehab, stream bank stabilization, native plant enhancement, particularly in the riparian zone and for pollinators. Also work in conjunction with land trusts to preserve watershed lands.
Kids 4 Coral ; Coral Reef Education and Protection
Coral Reef education and protection program through teaching snorkeling to young people (of all ages!). Also teach fisher folk, teachers, and community members about the reef and how their actions can impact the reefs.
Kids 4 Clean Water Camps
Full immersion program during school breaks to teach young people why their water/ watershed is important and how their actions can either help or hinder its health.
My Tennessee: Clean Water Starts Here
Homeowner and business certification and award program for citizens who take care of our water sources by the actions they take at their homes and businesses.
Stream Teams
Groups of school children, homeschoolers, or community members are trained to monitor and take care of their adopted stream section. This includes water sampling, litter removal, and native plant restoration.
