PAN HARMONIA

Pan Harmonia's goals enriching our community with world-class art music and providing living wage work for local musicians and their families.

With music, the work is temporal. You can't hold it in your hand. We believe that in spending time with people and immersing them in an art form, our basic compassion and shared humanity creates a transcendent and moving experience.

We believe that beauty ennobles the heart. We seek ways to bring this music to the full spectrum of our society.

During our more than 18 year history, we have produced hundreds of concerts including our Shining Light Project outreach to people far from the classical music mainstream audience--folks in prisons, homeless shelters and senior centers.

We keep doing the work at the highest level possible and continue to seek out audiences, both new and long standing.

Pan Harmonia ensembles are ever shifting according to the music at hand. We have a core group of professional musicians, drawn from the area's very finest players, depending on repertoire.

Our ensembles are generally 2-4 max. The reason is twofold; a small group makes for a marvelously intimate encounter for artists and audience alike, and it is more financially viable. We are committed to paying living wage and keeping ticket prices affordable.

As Pan Harmonia begins its 19th season in September 2018, we look back on years of accomplished artistry and successful fund-raising.

We have produced world-class music for more than 18 years from small to larger works including:
Aaron Copland's "Appalachian Spring" (2013); JS Bach Brandenburg Concerti, No. 5 (2014) and No. 4 (2015).

We are scrappy, consistently hard working and good stewards of our donations. We live in a small community without much industry, so finding local funding is always a challenge.

On the local end, we are constantly out in the community both as citizens and artists connecting and engaging.
