Year Round Volunteering

The insurance industry is dedicated to assisting people in times of need. As such, the industry is uniquely suited to be a philanthropic leader, adapting its skill-set to charitable endeavors. One important way we do this is through volunteering in our local communities.

IICF offers year-round volunteering, both virtual and in-person, for greater community involvement and impact. By partnering with national and local nonprofit organizations, IICF volunteers can give back to the communities where they live and work in consistent and meaningful ways.

Volunteer resources and service project resources are available here on this site, creating a turnkey experience for organizing volunteer projects within your companies.

IICF invites insurance professionals to make an impact in their local community as volunteers during Week of Giving. As the largest ongoing volunteer initiative in the insurance industry, IICF Week of Giving unites thousands of insurance professionals in celebration of industry volunteerism as together we serve the communities where we live and work.

Volunteer as part of a company team or as an individual; all are welcome to participate in the insurance industry's largest annual volunteer initiative. Together, we can make a difference!

Proceeds benefit the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), Save the Children (Children’s Emergency Fund), BeHumanKindness and CARE (Ukrainian Crisis Fund). These nonprofit organizations are delivering immediate assistance in the region to the women, children, and families made refugees by this war.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

The IICF is working to help communities (across the US and UK) and enrich lives by uniting the insurance industry together in local, national, and international philanthropy. We accomplish this through industry and individual support and involvement in grants, volunteer service, and leadership.

Our strategies remain focused on:
- Industry engagement collaborating with 5 divisions and 10 chapters, as well as 4 levels of board leadership.
- Individual support developing and launching an individual Global Membership program.
- Continuing industry expansion and involvement through strategic industry partnerships (Key Partners).
- In 2024 celebrating our 30th Anniversary with a special industry-wide 30th Anniversary Committee and an industry-wide campaign with multiple industry initiatives.
