What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Charlotte Heat Track Club
The Charlotte Heat Track Club is a non-profit; youth track club that strives to motivate youths ages 5-18 of Charlotte and surrounding areas, to achieve leadership, self-discipline, sportsmanship, integrity, and a sense of community in a nonviolent, drug free atmosphere.
The Charlotte Heat Track Club encourages athletic camaraderie and supports coaching for all athletes. The CHTC acknowledges its duty to serve all athletes throughout the broad spectrum of the runner’s skills and is committed to a total community involvement.
CHTC activities include a summer track program open to all runners, and being commented to performing a community service activity every year. Our program offers athletes a dynamic balance through team/individual elements of track and field as a medium to strengthen work ethics and foster self-esteem. Track is not about just running and athletic conditioning; moreover, it’s a training ground for our next generation of productive citizens.
Team members learn the lessons that competition teaches both on the athletic field and in life. They also learn to combine self-discipline, training, and dedication; lessons that carry over into all aspects of their lives.
The track team is based in Charlotte, NC. However, we have families from surrounding cities like Concord, Huntersville, Waxhaw, Monroe, Pineville, Mooresville, Gastonia, and Rock Hill, SC.
