What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Buy Fresh Buy Local Campaign
Education on the availability of locally-produced farm, nursery, and aquaculture products. SEMAP's "Buy Fresh, Buy Local" Campaign promotes local farm products to the public through Point of Purchase materials (price cards, posters, stickers, etc.), monthly consumer updates on local products in season, and a media and promotional campaign to keep local farm products in the public eye throughout the growing season. SEMAP's Campaign is anchored by our searchable online farm guide to 200 local farms, their product information and specific market outlets: www.semaponline.org.
Farmer Technical Assistance
SEMAP’s Twilight Grower Education workshop series for farmers and home gardeners offers hands-on skill building led on-farm by local producers. These on-farm workshops are held March through November.
