What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Integrative Therapies
We personalize our care to address the unique needs of our patients, by relieving stress we can more effectively manage pain and other symptoms. Our services often include non-drug symptom management such as Touch Therapies, Aromatherapy and Calming Sounds Music Therapy, to name only a few, which can complement traditional medical therapies.
Medical research has demonstrated these therapies can be instrumental in reducing stress and pain, while enhancing quality of life for our patients.
All Fremont Regional Hospice Integrative Therapies are complementary. Our Integrative Therapies may be offered to patients in their homes as well as in long-term care and assisted living facilities. Hospice professionals can guide patients in making informed decisions about their care and incorporating Integrative Therapies into a comprehensive plan of care.
We Honor Veterans
It may surprise many people to learn that 25 percent of those who die in the United States each year are Veterans. To help provide care and support that reflects the important contributions made by these men and women, Fremont Regional Hospice is a national partner of We Honor Veterans, a pioneering campaign developed by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO) in collaboration with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Participating hospices must meet specific criteria demonstrating organizational commitment and capacity to provide quality care for veterans to advance through five partnership levels.
By recognizing the unique needs of our nation’s Veterans facing a life-limiting illness, Fremont Regional Hospice is able to accompany and guide Veterans and their families toward a more peaceful ending. In cases where there might be some specific needs related to the Veteran’s military service, combat experience or other traumatic events, our care teams will find tools to help support those they are caring for.
Our whole team is honored to serve veterans because for each of us - it’s personal. Each member of our staff has their own special connection to those who serve our country, either as a; spouse, a brother, a sister, a mother, or father, or because their parent served or they themselves served. The entire Fremont Regional Hospice team is specially connected to those who serve our nation through military service and we’re especially honored to provide service for our veterans.
The resources of We Honor Veterans focus on respectful inquiry, compassionate listening, and grateful acknowledgment, coupled with Veteran-centric education of health care staff caring for Veterans.
America’s Veterans have done everything asked of them in their mission to serve our country and we believe it is never too late to fulfill our mission to serve these men and women with the dignity they deserve.

Goals & Strategy
Learn about the organization's key goals, strategies, capabilities, and progress.
Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our organization wants to make sure that all patients and families with terminal illnesses are getting the care that they need. We want to give them the best that we can at the end of their life.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
"We ask for donations to provide the patients and families with as many things as we can. This would include a favorite lunch or maybe a lift chair. In the past, we have even found an electric wheelchair to make the patient mobile."
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
As long as we have the funds coming in we will always give to our patients.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have been able to buy lift chairs for our patients and electric wheelchairs. We would like to be able to do more for them. We have in the past had families that had loved ones out of state, we would like to financially be able to help get them here to say good-bye to their loved ones.
