What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Suicide Prevention Program

The mission of this program is to reduce suicide attempts, incidents, and educate youth and their families about suicide and the warning signs. Classes last 10 weeks, but involve the whole family infrastructure as we provide family sessions to create suicide safety plans and to educate parents and youth.  Youth will be provided with one individual counseling session per month, more if needed.  The youth will be educated about self-harm, values, attitudes, behaviors, depression, suicide prevention, thoughts of suicide and what they mean, and goal setting.Program Success Monitored By:· Pre-test and post test results· Beck Depression Inventory· Class participation· Student self-report of situations and how they handled them· Suicide Assessments The following budget is for 10 students to receive 10 group counseling sessions, two individual sessions, and two family sessions.  We provide a 25% pro-bono discount depending on their financial situation.

Population(s) Served

Many of us need a road map or "GPS" to guide us through unfamiliar territory.  Without these tools, we tend to veer off course, become lost and perhaps become so frustrated we abandon our quest.  Personal and professional goals guide us through our lives, ensuring that we remain on track.  We will help you create your personal road map.  Career counseling is critical today given the current work environment. We offer resume building, Myers Briggs type assessments, personality trait assessments, youth college preparation courses, and many other tools to help feel empowered about your career choice(s).  Tri-County Counseling and Life Skills Center has extensive experience offering career counseling.  Dr. Glaza's approach is research-driven and has proven results.  This program allocates for 20 students for the six week course.

Population(s) Served

This program is designated for veterans who are dealing with mental health issues.  Our staff is dedicated to veterans as our CEO is a 24-year retired military veteran.  Dr. Glaza has recognized a dire need for treatment for veterans dealing with transitions back to civilian life. For this particular program, we provide support groups, individual counseling, group counseling, couples counseling, and life skills counseling.  We do not have a specific budget for this program because each veteran has different treatment objectives to complete and there is no set time frame.  Individual sessions cost $75 per session, groups are $30 per person, and support groups are free.  Couples counseling cost $75 per session.  It is assumed that military veterans may be experiencing some financial difficulties, so we work with all veterans, no matter their ability to pay.  Our workplace staff is comprised of 40% veterans, and we love to assist veterans in finding new opportunities to advance themselves and lead happier lives.

Population(s) Served

When a client is referred to us, we provide a thorough biopsychosocial substance abuse evaluation and a drug test and alcohol test.  After assessing the individual, we decide whether group or a blended approach is best fit for the client.  After assessment, we provide an individualized master treatment plan that satisfies every client differently.  Each month we randomly drug test and alcohol test clients and do treatment plan reviews.  Treatment plan reviews help give clients insight into their progress through treatment objectives and what new treatment objectives need to be added, if any.  Our non-disease model outpatient substance abuse counseling emphasizes personal responsibility, choices, needs and wants, goals, attitudes, behaviors, and does not allow the client to blame others for his or her choices.  We believe that addiction is not a disease, but rather a choice.
