Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Formed by survivors, the purpose of the Breast Cancer Fund of Ohio is to distribute funds from the sale of Ohio's Breast Cancer Awareness License Plate to organizations around Ohio for emergency financial assistance to breast cancer patients and to improve access to quality health care and clinical trials. Goals include:
1) Devote a significant portion of each annual budget to grants to nonprofits so that they can provide their clients with emergency living expenses.
2) Guide breast cancer patients and families to resources in their community that can help them the most (patient navigation).
3) Educate the community about the impact of breast cancer on Ohio residents.
4) Promote our mission throughout Ohio to garner support for breast cancer patients and their families.

Grantmaking - promote the availability of emergency assistance funding to nonprofit treatment providers throughout Ohio via the website, emails to treatment providers in our database, and participation in associations such as the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy.
Patient navigation - maintain a database of treatment providers throughout the state so that the Executive Director can tell patients and families what resources are available to them in their community.
Education and Outreach - participate in health fairs, trade shows, fundraisers, and other community events to maximize the number of people who understand the impact of breast cancer on their neighbors, embrace our mission, and agree to support it.
