What we aim to solve
Our Mission is, "Leading Effective Response to a World in Need." Because there are so many needs in the world, Mission E4 has a very broad scope in the kinds of things we do. Our goal is to respond to the needs of the communities in which we work in a way that is effective. Many times the effective way means that we must face these needs in a wholistic manner. In many ways, we are involved in community development at the core of everything we do. We seek not only to develop the communities we invest in, but also to empower the people in those communities to meet their own needs.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our overarching goal is to lead, empower, and train people to effectively respond to the material, spiritual, and emotional needs of the world. In addition to working within communities, we seek to create partnerships between communities to help and support each other.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
When we begin working in a community we spend time assessing and seeking out the needs. We do this not only through observation, but also by involving those we intend to serve. We find that it is important to get their input into what they feel the biggest needs are in their community. We also identify the assets of that community, what the individuals of the area can bring to the table. Once we have a good understanding of the community, we develop a plan to meet the greatest needs through empowering the individuals within the community to the greatest degree possible. Whatever the community cannot provide themselves, we seek partners from other communities to get involved whether that be hands-on or through financial support.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our leadership team is very experienced in facilitating discussion, defining needs and assets, and formulating a plan of action. We spend a lot of time and energy training our people to be leaders and how to get people from different backgrounds and walks of life to work together. Our team has a proven track record of doing these things in various communities in the United States and around the world for more than 15 years. In addition to our leadership team, we have over 250 organizations and 1400 individuals who partner with us in reaching our community development goals.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In Haiti we currently have five elementary schools, a high school, two medical clinics, a prison program, two orphanages, and over 1800 children in school. We currently work within five communities in the Leogane plain in Haiti. In Albania we support and provide partial oversight for two churches and run schools in two of the Roma communities. In Kosovo, we support and provide partial oversight for a group of churches and children initiatives in the Gjakova area. In Central Massachusetts we run youth and children's programs seven days a week. We work with these young people to be active members of their communities and find ways to serve and develop their neighborhoods from the inside out. We have many initiatives on the horizon and each community has its own next steps. Our big goals for 2018, in addition to growing the number of program participants, are: to finish the school construction in Fauche, Haiti; to finish the construction and open Christella's Restaurant to the public; to finish the construction of Mami Lynn's Home for Boys in Fauche, Haiti; and lastly to open a Worcester Community Center.
