Large Venue Outreach

KGS displays ranging from 100 - 1600 square feet are installed at large venues (usually at least 6 per year)that reach 6,000 -60,000 people per show. Large, colorful displays and interactive stations attract kids and their families. The average time spent at the display is 22 minutes per child (some shorter, some much of the day). Children participate in activities such as gardening (planting seedlings, making "grass buddies'),  food preparation (introduction to various culinary skills) nutrition games and other garden-based fun (e.g. "Good Guys in the Garden" pollinator activities, pesticide awareness.) Children and their families leave with handouts, seed packets, hand-made crafts and a positive. learning experience free of charge.
