Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Advertising Icon Museum
As a world-class institution for Kansas City, the Advertising Icon Museum will be the only arena for interpretation, exhibition and conservation of advertising icons in the world. The museum is the first institution of its kind to focus on advertising icons and to provide a place for the interpretation of these icons and their importance to our culture.
The Advertising Icon Museum will be the permanent home to the Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame. Each year the public votes online for their two favorite icons and tag lines that they believe should be inducted into the Madison Avenue Advertising Walk of Fame. The museum will display and offer an educational interpretation of each inductee.
The museum will house a 3,000-piece icon collection that is made up of three-dimensional objects, original printed materials and is supported by radio and television advertisements.
Traveling Exhibitions
The Advertising Icon Museum will host and display unique pop-culture exhibits in the temporary exhibit gallery.
Interactive E-Learning Experiences
Throughout the museum visitors will engage in interactive learning through video monitors, Web sites, touch screens and other state-of-the-art educational technology.
