INSPIRE-COMMUNITY FINE ART CENTER FOR SAN ANTONIO
Programs and results
What we aim to solve
We believe that art can heal, it can build community, and it can educate. However, we know that not everyone has access to the arts. We focus on providing arts where it is least accessible and has the potential for most impact.
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Outreach
Inspire partners with organizations to make arts education more easily accessible to people in San Antonio. Recent partners include: Eva's Heroes, Lamar Elementary, Alpha Home, Hemisfair, and Christus Santa Rosa.
Workshops
Inspire offers low-cost art workshops including welding, after-school programming for children and teens, ceramics, and Try It Thursdays.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We want everyone in our service area to live with arts as part of their daily lives.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We provide art classes at our location, outreach programs throughout San Antonio. We also run a maker space for local artists to earn regular income.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Now in our 13th year, Inspire has shown success for achieving this. We have the following assets that help us achieve our goals: We've been collaborating with a core group of artists for years now. In addition, we have long term collaborations with most of our outreach partners. Inspire's staff and budget are small, so there is room for growth.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
In the past 13 years, Inspire has grown from a single outreach location (Bexar County Courthouse, Juvenile Court) to many other locations.
In 2018, January-July alone, Inspire has provided 135 workshops to 787 people in the region.
