April House’s mission is to bring together a multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to provide healing and justice for children who have endured physical abuse, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse materials, neglect, and exposure to violence in a child-focused, trauma-informed environment.

April House’s mission is to bring together a multidisciplinary team of professionals committed to provide healing and justice for children who have endured physical abuse, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation, child sexual abuse materials, neglect, and exposure to violence in a child-focused, trauma-informed environment.

1) provide a VSI for all allegations of child abuse through DCFS and law enforcement
2) conduct case review for each new/ongoing/open cases
3) increase communication among MDT members
4) increase access to services for child/families
5) provide training opportunities to staff and MDT members

1) Staff are experienced and trained in related skills
2) Team of professionals are cooperative and communicative
3) Funds are accessible to accomplish goals
4) Other resources are available for staff, MDT, and families

Each Year the number of VSIs increase and more children and families are served with more hours.
