Read and Feed

giving KIDS an appetite for READING

Cary, NC   |  www.readandfeed.org

Mission

Read and Feed is a mobile after-school literacy program. Our mission is to strengthen literacy skills among under-served elementary school children, and provide meals in a nurturing neighborhood environment. We partner with elementary schools in Wake County, and representatives at the schools select children who are not reading at their grade level to participate in our programs. Our mobile classrooms travel to the children's neighborhoods and provide meals to eliminate hunger, reading tutors, and books to build home libraries.
