There are 153 million orphans around the world, and only 0.5% of these children will ever have the opportunity to be adopted. Here I Am Orphan Ministries serves these children in the following ways:
- Visit and encourage children living in orphanages, loving on those that may not have the chance to be adopted into a loving forever family
- Work with local partners to establish transitional resources for children aging out of orphanages
- Advocate for a child's adoption through host programs, family outreach, and mission trips
- Raise funds to help families offset some of the costs of hosting and adoption
- Support forever families through ongoing education, training, and fellowship events

We visit and encourage children living in orphanages through mission trips and find and cultivate relationships with trusted, local partners to support children aging out of orphanages with transitional resources. We also advocate for specific children's adoptions through host programs, church and family outreach, and mission trips.

Each person on our Board of Directors and Staff is uniquely passionate about orphan care. We also have local and international partners that support our ministry. Through these on-the-ground partners in target countries, we are able to continue serving children and developing programs year-round.

Our number one indicator of growing success is an increase in the number of children reached each year. We strive to increase the number of children reached and visited through mission trips by adding trips to new locations. We strive to increase the number of children hosted and adopted by working with more countries and identifying new forever families.

In 2016, a total of 30 children were adopted into loving Christian families because of our advocacy. Twenty-eight more children are in the process of being adopted because of our advocacy, and will come home in early 2017. Additionally, over 520 children living in orphanages were visited, encouraged and loved on in 2016.

We are currently executing 2 host programs and one mission trip per year. In 2017, we will have 3 host programs and at least 2 mission trips. We are focusing on building our transitional resources through local partners and our new Gifts of Love online index.
