Mission

At Explore The Trades our mission is to recruit individuals to the plumbing, heating, cooling and electrical trades. These industries keep our country running. Jobs in these industries are in high demand and come with great pay, career opportunities and job security. We want to help you discover that these careers aren’t just a choice – they’re the best choice. Founded in 2005, Explore The Trades is committed to developing the next generation of a skilled workforce by changing the perception of the trades. The organization creates awareness of the trades through key industry statistics, career resources and connections with industry-leading residential service companies throughout North America.

Explore The Trades is focused on bridging the technical talent gap in the residential service trades of plumbing, heating, cooling (HVAC) and electrical. Through engagement activities, a job network of over 800 residential service companies in North America and providing education about a career in the skilled trades, Explore The Trades is lessening the skilled labor shortage and strengthening communities by building talent for small businesses.

Explore the Trades

Explore the Trades actively drives young adults, ages 15-25, into the PHCE service industry through education of students, businesses and schools. Using real world statistics, advocacy and outreach to potential employees to build awareness about these careers, Explore the Trades provides recruiting materials for educators, school counselors, employers and parents.

Explore The Trades' goals are focused on creating talent networks for residential service businesses throughout North America and connecting individuals with well-paying, in-demand and essential jobs in communities throughout the country. Careers in plumbing, heating, cooling (HVAC) and electrical keep our communities running and because of these skilled tradespeople, we enjoy clean water, power and comfortable living environments.

Explore The Trades creates connections with industry-leading companies, curates marketing collateral that illustrates the career growth opportunities for these skilled trades and creates video and social media resources that can be used by both educators and contractors.
