What we aim to solve

SOURCE: Self-reported by organization

Due to ongoing overseas deployments, grueling training schedules and the overall demanding framework that makes up military life, family relationships and self care (i.e. emotional and spiritual) will take hits. This is proven out by suicide and divorce rates for active duty personnel being significantly higher than for the general population. Because self reliance is drilled into soldiers, airmen and marines, there is a reluctance to seek help. This is compounded by the fact that many within the enlisted ranks are hesitant to reach out because those tasked with helping are officers.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Operation Resolute strengthens our nation's warriors and sustains military families by working with and through chaplains in the US Army, Air Force and USMC. By helping chaplains connect with the men, women and families under their care, counseling and assistance are more readily requested. Operation Resolute's main goal is to accelerate relationships between these groups so that when help is needed, help is sought.

Operation Resolute provides venues and events outside of normal Department of Defense channels that chaplains can leverage to meet the emotional and spiritual needs of their people. Our organization works with chaplains to determine what the needs are within their groups and how we can assist in meeting those needs. By working with chaplains, there is a targeted strategy behind every event.

Operation Resolute has built a solid relational network within the chaplain corps at Fort Bragg, Pope Army Airfield, Camp Mackall and Camp Lejeune. By engaging with chaplains, our efforts are multiplied and extended due to the ongoing work of these individuals. Our organization utilizes resources such as offshore and inshore fishing trips, hunting land, family retreats and river floats to provide outings that chaplains use to get their people off base. We also raise funds for a family day at the North Carolina Zoo, with all tickets being distributed through the chaplains.

In 2013, Operation Resolute started with a connection to one Air Force chaplain. In 2019, we partnered with 25 chaplains in the US Army 3rd Special Forces Group, 82nd Airborne, Air Force Special Tactics, the US Army Special Warfare Training Group, Special Operations Command and the US Marine Corps. In 2013, we served 37 active duty personnel. In 2019, we will have engaged over 1,200 soldiers, airmen and marines.
We currently are in a capital campaign to raise funds to purchase land for our outdoor activities. This will position the organization for ongoing service and provide the bandwidth to continue growing.
