Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Community Link strives to alleviate hunger by providing, at no charge, food and personal care items to those in need, covering 178 square miles in Northwest Tarrant County: 76052, 76114, 76131, 76135, 76137, 76177, 76179 (any family with a student attending EMS-ISD).
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Free groceries through our weekly food pantry.
Free produce and protein through our Large "Farmers" Community Market.
Upcoming: Mobile Community markets at our local high schools.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Ensuring donated food is quickly and efficiently put into the community in need.
Effectively collaborating with businesses, individuals, school districts, grocery stores, etc.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have grown 60% in the last four years. We are anticipating an 80% growth over the next 5 years due to population increase. We have established "Farmers" Community Markets on a monthly basis to ensure fresh health produce gets into the hands of our families and senior citizens in need. We have created a network within our school district of resources to assist our community in filling their homes with a variety of healthy foods.
