The IWRITE2READ program is a creative reading and writing program that focuses on developing reading and writing skills.  IWRITE2READ focuses on helping the students master reading fundamentals.  The students read short stories and poems to identify different strategies to improve their reading comprehension and enhance their vocabulary.   The readings are then integrated with visual objectives to assist students with writing assignments.  Writing is a skill that is used within the academic and work setting and by encouraging the students to continuously write will prepare them for their future.

The IWRITE2READ writing program focuses on teaching sentence structure and allowing the students to express themselves through writing. Writing is a topic that is often overlooked and can provide a means to enhance student’s’ thoughts, ideas, comprehension, and spelling skills. The objective is to create a fun filled learning environment that fosters and encourages our students to learn about writing!

The goal of the program is to build a strong, solid foundation of reading and writing skills that will enable these students to become excellent writers.
