Classics & Gems

The Annapolis Chamber Players perform 5-10 concerts per season in Annapolis, Eastern Shore of Maryland and in the Baltimore area. Featured repertoire, for 2 to 10 players, is an eclectic combination of classical chamber music favorites and lesser-known gems for mixed ensembles (e.g., winds, string and piano). Narrative program notes enhance the listening and combine entertainment with education.

Population(s) Served
Adults
Families

Summer music festival for intermediate to advanced young musicians, ages 12-18 (Grades 6-12), who want to participate in
master classes, lessons and perform in small ensembles. Free concerts, feature students and members of the Annapolis Chamber Players (ACP). Students will be working with ACP’s top-notch chamber musicians on the art of chamber music while learning to be independent, confident, team players. Expanded enrichment classes will cover issues such as performance psychology, rhythm, teamwork, public speaking, and physical conditioning. Because we are a small, personalized festival, we offer exceptional opportunities to: - Brass and woodwind players, who have fewer outlets for chamber music; - Intermediate students, who may be playing chamber music for the first time; - Early-advanced soloists who are less experienced in ensemble work. Tuition assistance for any student with financial need is available. Perform. Collaborate. INSPIRE!

The Annapolis Chamber Players perform at retirement communities and senior centers take chamber music to folks who might not otherwise enjoy live music because they are unable to attend or afford concerts. Older citizens have historically been supportive of the arts and enjoyed performing arts. The Players feel strongly that reaching out and connecting with these elders is important.
