What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Acting Antics Youth
(Elementary age) This program is designed to help children with social difficulties learn skills about interacting with peers, reading body language and other non-verbal cues, voice modulation, and understanding abstract language and inferences. It is important that youngsters in this group are cognitively able to work on abstract concepts in communication. Actors have a great time with building their self-esteem. The class will include theatre games and activities, scenes and skits with a final performance for family and friends on the last day of class.
Inclusive Musical Theatre
(Ages 7 - adult) In this exciting, inclusive program, participants will rehearse and perform a 30-minute musical production. Actors learn to work together, remember cues, do movement to music, and perform a finished product. Actors also participate in scene painting and making props. Neurodiverse participants work in tandem with neurotypical peers to produce a finished musical play that will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
Acting & Improvisation
For teens and young adults. Participants hone their communication and socialization skills through theatre games and improvisational activities. Actors must learn to collaborate, cooperate, and share ideas in order to perform successfully in Improvisation. Scripted scenes are also used to work on non-verbal and context cues as well as socially appropriate responsiveness. Individuals build social confidence as they acquire new skills. Activities, scenes, and skits will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
Movin' & Groovin'
(Elementary age) This is a theatre program designed for students diagnosed with developmental and/or social delays, but all are welcome and encouraged to join in on the fun. The program will focus on using music, movement, games and skits to teach the youngsters how to follow directions, motor plan, and interact successfully. Activities, scenes, and skits will be showcased in final performances for family and friends on the last day of class.
Adaptive Dance Class
Dance instructors trained to work with students with special needs will teach Zumba, hip-hop, jazz, and more with a focus on individualized instruction.
