Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
"It is my passion to develop a world-class facility to inspire the next generation of leaders” said Franks. The Four Star Leadership program was created to underscore the importance of character in today's fast-paced, global environment. In order to create an opportunity for our next generation of leaders, the organization is committed to investing in the next generation of leaders and to the Four Star Leadership mission of developing the kind of leaders who can solve problems and communicate solutions that will propel our world to greater peace, prosperity and mutual respect.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
The Institute invests in the nation's future leaders through several education and outreach programs including the Mobile Classroom + Road Show, the Inspired Leadership Challenge, the Midland Young Leaders Challenge and the Four Star Leadership with General Tommy Franks program. The programs engage participants through lectures by state and national leaders, writing and speech assignments as well as team building activities, which heighten each participant’s ability to learn and retain practical leadership principles. The curriculum communicates the Four Stars of Leadership exhibited in the life of General Tommy Franks: Character, Communication, Common Vision and Caring.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our museum offers a look at unique military equipment, uniforms, artifacts and photographs educating visitors through historical preservation. The leadership curriculum, presented by a competent staff, combines historical facts, leadership principles and interactive activities that provide participants with a comprehensive view of General Franks’ applied leadership style. These principles form a platform of discovery for the next generation of America's leaders opening the door for participant’s leadership potential. The traveling Road Show and classroom is a mobile museum designed to enhance and enrich the learning experience of all visitors especially students. These students often do not have the opportunity to experience a metropolitan area museum.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Our success is most assuredly marked by our recent recognitions and awards. In the last two years our leadership institute and museum has won awards in three different categories. Our ability to conduct business. Our ability to host a large significant event and our leadership education programs.
