What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
The Living Well Villages houses health camps throughout the year. Many organizations use the site for their own programming but each must use the wellness component offered by the Foundation. We serve groups such as boy scouts, girl scouts, schools, health organizations, faith-based groups and open community groups. We partner with the American Red Cross, American Heart Association and St. Louis ARC to assist each organization leading to positive outcomes. We collaborate with public and private universities to provide internships for their students. We collaborate with hospitals/ medical schools and conduct research studies at the Living Well Village.
Throughout the year the Living Well Foundation offers the WIT program through weekend programming and after-school programming. (This stands for Wellness in Teens, Tweens or Tots depending on the audience.) We educate both child and, although we prefer a parent attend, we will send homework to families.
Living well also includes having a purpose and developing healthy relationships. Our volunteer groups at the Village are ?clubs? for people in the same circumstance---for example the ?mature singles club? may be trained in mentoring youth, but also mingle with people who are looking for someone to discuss commonalities in their age bracket and learn how to improve their own healthy lifestyle in relation to changes in bodies, minds and spirits. We have a speaker?s bureau to address all types of topics.
