What we aim to solve
Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
In-Home Creative Play
In-Home Creative Play programs provide enrichment, and creative play for young children. A team of Program Administrators provide NO-COST, IN-HOME support for 6 weeks (or more) incorporating organized activities such as arts, crafts, games, journaling, singing and other fun, play for young children while providing respite to the cancer patient.
Educational Support
Parents/Caregivers with cancer receive various educational books about parenting with cancer, talking tips about your cancer to the children, age appropriate books for children and teens regarding having a parent or loved one with cancer. CTC will also bridge the necessary families to other related organizations as needed.
Cancer Connect
The Cancer Connect program runs monthly and is aimed at providing peer support to both parents who are in treatment and their children. Events are focused around fun family activities and allow parents to meet and talk to other parents who are balancing cancer treatment while also trying to meet the needs of their children. Children are provided an opportunity to be with other kids who have a parent in treatment, and who may be bald, disabled, etc as a result of treatment. This program provides a bit of normalcy for the kids. Program events vary but include: bowling, swim parties, painting pottery, building gingerbread houses, zip lining and tree climbing, doing a ninja warrior course, decorating pumpkins, and games. Always focused on fun for the family and always free to those families with a parent in treatment, or child in treatment.
Therapeutic Art Journaling Workshops
This unique and therapeutic program focuses on mindfulness, and easing the stress related to a cancer diagnosis. These workshops are held for cancer patients and caregivers at hospitals, cancer centers, private in home for our clients and as part of a wellness support program for businesses to offer to their employees who are in treatment or are caring for someone in treatment.
Cancer Comfort Kits
Kits are filled with purposeful items aimed at providing comfort during cancer treatment. Kits are distributed to cancer patients of our client base, cancer centers, hospital systems and hospice centers both locally and nationally. These are sent on a quarterly basis. Hospitals can order through our website. Volunteer opportunities for schools and businesses to help fill and ship these each quarter.
Busy Bags
Busy Bags are meant for independent creative play outlets for children aged 3-8 that are affected by a cancer diagnosis. These are perfect for a parent with cancer to give to their child when respite is needed. Bags are distributed to clients in addition to cancer centers, hospitals systems and hospice centers both locally and nationally.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Cuddle My Kids mission is to serve as an IN-HOME, NO-COST resource for families with cancer. Our program supports children through creative play, arts and crafts, and enrichment while at the same time offering respite for the sick parent. This provides them uninterrupted time to focus on their own medical issues and healing, increasing their quality of life during treatment. We provide a six -week program with two in-home visits per week to qualifying families. Cuddle My Kids also serves as a resource for educational and wellness information for parents with cancer.
Cuddle My Kids values family. Our goal is to be caring and nurturing to all members of the families with whom we interact, to respect the individual needs and circumstances of each family, to nurture the children in need, to protect the privacy of each family and to promote positive expression and creativity.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Many organizations provide out of the home support, in hospitals, or other locations, some provide money for bills or transportation. We know of no other company that serves as an in-home, no-cost support for cancer patients and their children. The emotional burden of this dreaded disease can be debilitating for the patient and the entire family, and patients have very special needs. We know – we’ve been there.
Many prefer the comfort and convenience of in-home care, yet it can be extremely difficult for their families to meet their entire spectrum of needs. Family caregivers want to care for their family member but it can become very wearing and stressful over time. Cuddle My Kids fills a very necessary need by providing the respite and support for the caregivers and patients with cancer.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
Our Program Administrators are all either mothers, teachers, elementary education students, and trained to provide the best care and support for our clients. Each Program Administrator is screened, selected, and trained thoroughly and carefully. Our Nurse Navigator and Program Director are always on call, and reach out to each client on a regular basis to insure that our services meet a consistently high standard in all respects.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
100% of families surveyed feel Cuddle My Kids programs improved their overall health during cancer treatment.
100% of clients surveyed feel in-home visits have a positive affect on their child's happiness and therefore reduced the stress level of the cancer patient.
100% of clients surveyed feel CMK will increase their quality of life during and beyond cancer treatment.
