These conferences are joined by representatives from the U.S. Department of State, Department of Justice, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security for the purpose of increasing victim identification, victim sensitivity, inter-agency cooperation, and investigations and rescues at the regional level.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Compassion First (CF) exists to oppose the oppression of commercial sexual exploitation by empowering local authorities to more efficiently combat this crime. \r\nIt is our desire, however, not just to eradicate sexual trafficking, but also to care for its survivors. We operate full-service, long-term, hope-filled aftercare shelters, supported by advocacy programs, to give health, love, and honor back to the girls and women who have survived this evil. We focus specifically in areas where services and advocacy are lacking.

Compassion First operates community-based, residential aftercare facilities for survivors of sexual trafficking and exploitation that allows us to offer centralized services previously lacking in the communities where we operate. We offer short- and long-term housing, certified catch-up education, trauma-informed on-site therapy, medical services, and full-time security personnel at our facilities. \nPeripheral programs help develop the regional response to trafficking such as law enforcement training seminars, legal advocacy, and partnerships with local authorities to develop inter-agency cooperation.\nIn the U.S. we focus on cooperative efforts with authoritative service providers to create a more coherent and holistic system of care for adult survivors of trafficking.

Compassion First employs a wide range of trained and experienced staff, both indigenous and expatriate, to develop and run our programs. From House Moms to attorneys to security agents, our residents are surrounded by professionals working to provide a wrap-around system of services through the complex and unpredictable road to recovery. \r\nAll our programs are supported and financed through development offices in the U.S. and Indonesia.

Compassion First has accomplished most of it's short term goals through the creation of aftercare facilities and advocacy programs. We have also developed strong and mutually beneficial relationships with regional authorities and organizations that have had an impact on the fight against trafficking. In fact, as of this writing (Oct., 2015) we have begun steps to expand our programs nationwide. \r\nWe have also begun to develop a longtime goal of U.S. survivor care operations.\r\nIn the future, CF will continue to develop it's staff and programs to ensure current and world-class care for our residents. We would also like to see our law enforcement training and legal advocacy programs brought to the national level. It is CF's goal to expand to new countries as appropriate.
