What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

BirdNote

BirdNote®, our daily two-minute radio feature is broadcast on 220+ radio stations across the country and distributed online, reaching an estimated audience of 1.7 million listeners.

BirdNote strives to transport listeners out of the daily grind and into the natural world with outstanding audio programming and online content. The stories we tell are rich in sound, imagery, and information, connecting the ways and needs of birds to the lives of listeners.

As listeners tune in to the lives of birds, their connection with nature deepens. They become champions for conservation and stewards of places important to birds and people.

BirdNote is in a unique position to share a multitude of different voices and perspectives, telling stories of the transformative power of nature from communities across the nation.

Over the coming years, BirdNote will pursue the twin goals of doubling our listenership and reaching an audience that represents our country's full racial, geographical, generational, and economic diversity.

BirdNote is an independently produced and funded program that relies almost exclusively on contributions from individuals, foundations, and corporate donors to pursue our mission.
