So Cal Survivors
A pair of "Burn Survivor Only" support groups for ages 18-25 and 25+ respectively. It is a welcoming environment facilitated by a burn survivor where members are encouraged to process their injuries to demystify the burn experience and bring strength and clarity to their journey from victim to survivor. Group members have discussed issues related to adult burn survivors ages 25+ ranging from intimacy and relationships, to jobs and education. There is also an emphasis in strengthening communication techniques with caregivers and others related to talking about a injury as well as advocating within the burn community to empower others who have been affected by a burn injury.
