Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

RESCUE the mistreated * SAVE the injured * LOVE the abandoned

aka TBC Animal Rescue   |   Quinlan, TX   |  http://www.tbcanimalrescue.com

Mission

Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue ( TBC) was created in 2006 as a volunteer operated, non-profit, 501c3 no kill organization in Hunt County in N.E. Texas to rescue and rehabilitate unwanted, homeless and helpless dogs and pups helping each to find a carefully matched permanent and loving home. We accept all breeds to reduce the large numbers going to high kill shelters. It is our mission to educate the community on their humane care, the necessity of spay/ neuter and promote an overall value of companion animals to eliminate any unnecessary pain and suffering. We serve North Texas primarily but have saved animals all across North Texas and East Texas . We are an outdoor rescue with a physical shelter on 22 acres and save approximately 500 animals each year.

Transfer Program

We are a rescue partner with several out of state animal rescues and transfer animals to them regularly depending upon availability and need. We vaccinate and medicate and the animal musts meet a strict criteria but it gets that an animal a home many times quicker than we can in our rural area. This program is a win-win-win to the animal ,the receiving rescue and to our rescue as it keeps us able to rescue more every week. It is a current rend in animal welfare to transport as many animals as possible out of Texas as Texas remains a high kill state. Other states have strong laws that enforce spay and neuter and therefore they do not have the over population we currently are challenged to serve.
