Mutt Medics

Cesar Millan PACK Project is proud and excited to have launched our new Mutt Medics program! This is a long-term dream of Cesar’s that is becoming a reality.

With your help, we will enable thousands of pet owners in underserved communities to receive spay and neuter services, as well as crucial veterinary attention for their pets, all free or at low-cost. The result will be significantly fewer homeless dogs, and improved health and quality of life for many others.

Many pets are turned away from being spayed or neutered due to underlying health conditions — such as skin, urinary tract and tooth infections, parasite infestations, and other issues — all of which pose a surgical risk to the patient. Sadly, these pets often end up being abandoned or surrendered by their owners, contributing to the problem of overpopulation.

Leaving their conditions untreated also puts them in cruelly painful and sometimes life-threatening situations.

The need for such care is overwhelmingly apparent, and it is vital that pet guardians are able to obtain critically needed health care for their pets. This is an essential element of our work to decrease pet overpopulation, reduce the number of surrendered and abandoned pets, minimize the spread of parasites and diseases, and slash the number of unnecessary euthanasia.

Planting the seeds of health and nourishing dogs’ growth will allow for many additional years of loving companionship between dogs and people. We are grateful to be a part of such a meaningful project, and to be able to play such an important role in so many lives.

Mutt Medics offers free and low-cost examination, de-worming, vaccination, microchipping, dental care, spaying/neutering, and other preventive health care services for dogs at multiple Southern California locations through our mobile Mutt Medics clinics.

We plan to grow our services in the near future. Mutt Medics will become a nationwide resource for animal health services —and we will also soon offer animal-focused emergency rescue and disaster response services.

Cesar Millan PACK Project and our Mutt Medics teams will continue blazing new paths of hope, health, and harmony in the lives of dogs and people.

Population(s) Served

Fostering Hope is a human-canine therapy program created by the Cesar Millan PACK Project to save dogs in shelters from euthanasia while also providing healing intervention for adolescents in foster care between the ages of 12 and 17.

Through this program, we create positive emotional development for young people and freedom and rehabilitation for shelter dogs through application of
Cesar Millan’s training principles, which emphasize trust, mutual respect, and loyalty.

In an atmosphere of teamwork and trust, the kids become genuinely empowered as they learn to teach and care for the dogs.
