Mission

It is the mission of Pete Jarvis Organization Inc to raise funds for distribution to residents of Shelbyville and Shelby County Indiana in their time of need. None of us knows how long we have, how many gigs we get to play yet, or how many jam sessions we’ll still get to experience in our lives. So enjoy every person, every moment, and every note, because we don’t get to do this forever. We call this mission our Cornstitution. We are working towards creating a scholarship for a music student from Shelby County.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We would like to establish a trust to keep the giving alive forever. Since Pete was a musician, we have a goal of providing a music scholarship to a Shelby County resident. College is expensive and Pete Jarvis Organization would like to help ease that burden for a talented student in Shelbyville or Shelby County, Indiana.

We want to end poverty and work to help those who need a hand-up.

Pete Jarvis Organization is broadening our marketing and fund raising efforts. For years we have relied solely on donations received for our annual all day music festival called Cornstock. We have decided the time has come to increase our presence in our community. We are expanding our marketing to all of central Indiana. There is no reason people in Hancock County, Johnson County, Decatur County, Marion County or Rush County wouldn't enjoy our music festival. We are also expanding our fund raising efforts to become year round. Even if we have to sell candy bars for a dollar, we plan on increasing our revenue to meet our goals of helping as many Shelby County residents as possible and to establish a scholarship for a music student.

Pete Jarvis Organization has always been fortunate to have an extensive list of volunteers to help our organization. We plan on organizing more events throughout the year to bring our name and charitable contributions to the public.

Pete Jarvis Organization has helped many residents of Shelbyville and Shelby County, Indiana. From fixing flat tires, to gas cards for people going to cancer treatments, to turkeys for Thanksgiving meals, Pete Jarvis Organization has made a difference. We want to grow this organization to the next level and become a resource for those in need.
