Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Foundations in Contemplative Care Training Program
Presented from a Zen Buddhist perspective, this comprehensive training focuses on the power of intimacy and compassionate action in caregiving relationships. Through experiential learning and clinical training you will develop skillful means to support those in need of care when facing illness, old age and death.
Contemplative Medicine Fellowship
The Contemplative Medicine Fellowship is a twelve-month training for physicians (MD and DO), advanced practice registered nurses (NP & CNM), and physician assistants who want to lead change in the culture of care. The fellowship is designed to immerse participants in the true experience of the alleviation of suffering in their personal and professional lives.
The core training of contemplative medicine is based on the practices of wisdom, ethics, and contentment as prescribed by the historical Buddha 2,600 years ago.
Together fellows explore how to integrate and apply these foundational understandings to all relationships. This innovative program cultivates and supports leaders among fellows committed to addressing the real and significant challenges in caring for the suffering world.
