Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Giving women the skills need to financially support themselves and their children; address mental health needs; and provide training on vital life skills.

Teaching parenting skills, home care, goal-setting and money management. Addressing educational needs by requiring enrollment in high school or GED program, and availability of scholarships for post secondary education or trade school. Teaching job application and interview skills. Education in faith development and life skills. Assisting with medical care access through referrals and transportation. Providing shelter and food for up to four years, including a transitional program with on-site apartments. Connecting to counseling services and community resources.

Our program manager and case manager work directly with our residents in setting goals, accessing services, financial management, job readiness, and arranging education and training. Our 24/7/365 House Moms provide guidance on day-to-day life skills and home care/management. Our residents are connected to licensed therapists, counselors, and treatment programs to address mental health and addiction.

We have had 84 babies born to residents healthy and drug-free. Accomplishments of our residents include those who have purchased a home, completed high school or GED (95%), went on to post secondary school or training (50%), are employed with benefits, and have remained drug-free. Success looks different for each resident, whether it is completing a master's degree or staying sober for 30 days. We work with our residents to set individual goals, and together set the steps to accomplish those goals.
