NewLife Behavior International

NewLife Behavior International's mission is to train native leaders around the world to equip their own people to put God's Word into practice. Our Biblically-based lessons and healthy psychological teaching method lead to positive behavior changes - transforming individuals, families and communities. People learn about Jesus, become Christians, renew their relationship with the Lord, and/or mature in the Lord.

We serve public and private schools (elementary to college level), Bible Colleges, women and children's groups, churches and church leaders, government entities and Chaplains.

Our work addresses a litany of social ills including alcohol addiction, temper problems, polygamy and adultery, domestic violence, animal sacrifice for religious purposes, and witchcraft. After implementing our program, some schools which were previously struggling with violent atmospheres report improved behavior. Men, women and children who have not known their worth nor felt valued learn that they have great value in the eyes of Creator God.

Our long term goals outline the pathway to growing the reach and effectiveness of the work.

a. Provide growth and development opportunities for the Certified Trainers.
b. Train more people both in the US and abroad to become Instructors.
c. Partner with more Christian organizations in order to multiply the number of students using the curriculum and positive outcomes.

a. By providing additional training and leadership for Certified Trainers, these leaders around the world will become more capable of developing additional leaders.
b. By establishing opportunities for locally trained North American partners to become Instructors and to train in countries where NLBI has established relationships, we plan to train more people both abroad was well in the United States.
c. By building relationships with Christian organizations, we hope to multiply the number of students using the curriculum therby multiplying positive outcomes mentioned above.

a. Provide growth and development opportunities for the Certified Trainers:
In addition to in-person training by our Master Trainers in the US, we have access to an online platform to provide self-guided learning for our Certified Trainers.

b. Train more people both in the US and abroad to become Instructors:
Master Trainers in the US are capable of conducting the training for interested persons in the US and we have a plan to promote this opportunity.

c. Multiply the number of students using the curriculum and the positive outcomes by building more relationships with Christian organizations:

We have demonstrated the ability to partner effectively with Christian organizations (details are listed in #5c below).

a. We have gained access to professional leadership development course material. In addition we have met with a church mission committee regarding funding and requested that they apply for a grant on our behalf to a non-profit in order to appoint our first Continent Director, who can spearhead the further development of leaders in Africa, where we have the most Certified Trainers. The next steps are to upload the leadership materials onto the online platform and to follow-up with the church regarding funding and the grant.

b. Currently we have three American partners (representing three churches) scheduled to accompany our President on a one-week training mission. We also have plans to target young professionals and retirees to become trained to teach the NLB lessons in US churches (classes, small groups, etc.) and/or to accompany our Master Trainers on an overseas trip to work with our Certified Trainers.

c. Our President has just returned from a trip to Central America, where he certified 17 chaplains to use the materials and training methodology with patients of a health and rehab organization. We already have a relationship with World Bible School by which we each refer one another’s materials to our individual constituencies. Many Sunset International Bible Institute schools overseas use the NLB curriculum. Our material is taught in C.A.O. Essien Bible College in Nigeria, Gospel Chariot in various locations in Africa, African Christian College in Swaziland, Darrell Memorial Bible College in Nigeria, Kiti Bible College in Kenya, and Zamzula Everlasting College in the Philippines. Our plan is to leverage this partnership experience and reach out to more Christian organizations who are interested in Bible teaching becoming a part (or greater part) of their mission.
