Mission
Our mission is to provide financial support and necessary resources for the treatment of pediatric cancer in Guatemala and U.S.A . Our beneficiaries are children with cancer regardless of their socio-economic background, beliefs or ethnic origin. All donations received by Ayudame a Vivir Foundation, Inc. are for the sole not-for-profit purpose of diagnosing and treating cancer in children. At the moment, we focus most of our efforts in supporting Guatemalan children with cancer. Ayudame a Vivir Foundation, Inc. does not accept unsolicited grant proposals. Our funding is proactive and made to U.S and Guatemalan tax-exempt organizations dedicated to treating children with cancer that are independently identified by our Board.

What we aim to solve
We provide life expectancy to children and teenagers with cancer in Guatemala. Ayúdame a Vivir Foundation Inc. in Florida, USA is a sister organization of Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir – AYUVI- in Guatemala. We both, are dedicated to raise funds to provide a holistic treatment at no cost for children with cancer in Guatemala.

Supporting Saving Children with Cancer Project
Ayudame a Vivir Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization, approved by the IRS in 2008 as a 501(c)(3) Charity Organization, legalized in Florida and that has established a collaboration agreement with Fundación Ayúdame a Vivir - AYUVI- organization legalized in Guatemala, to support children with cancer in Guatemala, currently served in the National Pediatric Oncology Unit -UNOP- our hospital which is the only one specialized in pediatric cancer in Guatemala.
Ayudame a Vivir Foundation Inc. conducts fundraising activities in the Florida, United States with the aim of providing a holistic treatment FREE OF COST to children between 0-18 years old, living in Guatemala, whose families don’t have the necessary resources to cover the costs of the treatment needed.
Up to December 2022, 10,888 children have been cared for, 8,497 children have been diagnosed and 3,829 are now free of this disease.

What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
Our hospital is operating at 100% occupancy every month. We still need to reach the other 50% of Guatemalan pediatric population that still aren't being helped.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
We raise funds for children who develop cancer in Guatemala so that they can receive a holistic treatment at no cost.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
AYUVI collects and provides the necessary resources for UNOP to function, which is the only highly specialized center for pediatric cancer treatment in Guatemala and helps children and teenagers from all over the Country. We also provide a comprehensive treatment which includes the following services:
- social work
-Psychology
-Parents training
-Spiritual support
- Nutrition
-Supportive therapies
-Hospital Game
-Palliative medicine and hospice
Additionally, we have an abandonment program which includes the following:
-Funeral services
-Food bags
- Hostel
-Transport
This in order to keep patients with constant care and treatment for this disease.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
Holistic treatment at no cost to patients and their families.
The chemotherapies protocols applied by UNOP follow the most highly international standards (Gold Standard).
The survival rate has increased from 20% to 70%.
The treatment dropout rate is less than 1%.
9,427 children helped.
7,367 diagnosed with cancer.
3,291 children are free from the existing disease.
513 children are helped each year.
Decentralized services through the satellite clinic in Quetzaltenango.
Attention, care and palliative support in the Nursing Home AYUVI-Estuardo Mini, Hospice.
