Our programs
What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?
Veronica Awards
An annual contest where we search for high performing direct service staff who use data to achieve better outcomes for their target population. Nominations for awards are open between the end of September until late November. Winners receive checks for $5,000 and have their stellar performances memorialized in our Virtual Hall of Fame.
Superstar Partner Awards
The Superstar Foundation partners with non-profit organizations, foundations and funders to assist them in choosing Superstars.

Charting impact
Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
We want an increase in the number of organizations that use data AND anecdotes to identify and reward their highest performers. Additionally, we would like to inspire social workers, case managers and other direct service staff to use data in their daily work to drive better outcomes for the target population served.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Our current strategy revolves around our annual "Veronica Awards"- a national competition designed to find and highlight the highest performers in the social work arena. As we continue to refine our nomination form and evaluation process, we are now reaching out to other organizations looking to establish similar programs in their organizations and allowing them to use our online tools to execute their plans.
What are the organization's capabilities for doing this?
The Superstar Foundation is run entirely by volunteers, and so capacity to meet our largest vision is limited. By working to continuously improve our online system we will leverage our limited time/energy and partner with other organizations in order to spread the impact.
What have they accomplished so far and what's next?
We have found outstanding examples of direct service work and have given over $125,000 to individuals that are high performers in their noble work. We have expanded our partner program- launched in 2015- from 4 organizations to 8 in 2016. We are launching a webinar series this year that will run through the year, keeping some attention on the issue we care deeply about throughout the year (instead of only during the awards season- fall each year..) We have developed an online process for our awards which is scalable.
We need to continue to push our marketing of the awards, both to those who might be interested in applying for the awards and to other potential partners. We are making slow progress on refining our process each year to make it better.
