Adult Protective Services

Investigates reports of suspected abuse, neglect and/or exploitation of vulnerable adults residing in Monmouth and Middlesex Counties

Includes the Statewide Respite Care Program which provides eligible Monmouth County residents with assistance to support those caring for an elderly or disabled relative or friend. The JACC Program which provides a range of in-home services as an alternative to nursing home placement that enable eligible individuals to remain at home. The MAAP Program which provides support and application assistance to eligible individuals seeking Medicaid benefits to meet their long-term health related costs. The Telephone Reassurance Program which offers weekend telephone safety checks to frail and vulnerable seniors in Middlesex County.

Provides certified home health aides and supportive care aides to seniors and the disabled to assist with an array of services that allow them to continue living at home with dignity.

Coordinates the deployment of more than 300 senior volunteers to nonprofit organizations throughout Monmouth County, including FCS. Includes the SHIP Program which places specially trained volunteer counselors in locations throughout Monmouth County to help Medicare beneficiaries navigate the complex Medicare insurance system.
