Mission

We are a 501(c)(3), 100% volunteer nonprofit founded in 1983. We preserve and promote centuries of history of West Windsor, NJ. We maintain an active social media presence on Facebook and Instagram, publish a regular column in the West Windsor & Plainsboro News, and work on projects throughout town. Our West Windsor History Museum is located at the 1700s-era Schenck Farmstead. The house and property were gifts from Max Zaitz to the HSWW in 1991.

Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

We are a 501(c)(3), 100% volunteer nonprofit founded in 1983. We aim to: preserve and promote centuries of history of West Windsor, NJ through publications (books, newspapers, social media), community events, historic preservation projects, and maintenance and management of the 1700s-era Schenck Farmstead/West Windsor History Museum.

We also aim to increase membership significantly and create new officer positions on an as-needed basis.

"Year 225" promotional campaign, events, and projects are expected to bring multiple new members on board. An emphasis on West Windsor's multicultural and multiethnic composition will help us connect with a broader audience and spur enthusiasm for learning about local history.

Officer positions created via Board vote during Board meetings on an as-needed basis.

Membership growth: Capabilities include membership acquisition throughout 2022, bolstered by the "Year 225" campaign.

Office creation: can be done via Board meeting.

We have already hosted numerous events throughout 2022 and have recruited several new volunteers.
