Mission

ARI's mission is to help establish a culture based on the values of reason, rational self-interest, individual rights and laissez-faire capitalism. By promoting Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism through targeted educational and outreach programs to the general public, the Institute believes that meaningful cultural changes can be accomplished.

What we aim to solve

The world is at a state of impoverishment for good philosophy and ideas. The source of all the misery, suffering and stagnation in the world is bad philosophy. The solution is a rational, effective philosophy that guides men in society toward happiness and prosperity. The Ayn Rand Institute is working to spread the ideas of Ayn Rand's philosophy of Objectivism by means of educational activities.

What are the organization's current programs, how do they measure success, and who do the programs serve?

Education Program

Through a Free Books to Teachers program and essay contests, introduce Ayn Rand's ideas to young people by stimulating interest in her novels among high school students. Support more than 100 campus clubs at colleges and universities. Through the Institute's Objectivist Academic Center, provide intensive instruction on Ayn Rand's philosophy, Objectivism, to undergraduate and graduate students. Provide resources to college professors who are teaching Ayn Rand's philosophy in colleges and universities. Promote Ayn Rand's ideas to the general public via mass media and maintain a professional outreach program for business executives.

The Ayn Rand Institute's mission is to spread the ideas of Ayn Rand's philosophy of objectivism.

ARI is focused on several programs that help spread the ideas of Ayn Rand's philosophy of objectivism:
- Donating arise novels to high schools
- Running an essay program about Ayn Rand's novels
- Releasing courses about objectivism through Ayn Rand Institute's online campus and mobile apps
- Running conferences and events around the world with leading Objectivist intellectuals
- Managing Ayn Rand's archives
- Supporting objectivist intellectuals and their work

The Ayn Rand Institute's team is comprised of leading objectivist intellectuals who create, edit and produce objectivist content.
A team of program managers is responsible for running ARI's different educational programs.
ARI's archivists are professionally managing the Ayn Rand Archives.
ARI's event team is responsible for producing and managing our Global events.
ARI has a marketing team that is responsible to manage ARI's different content in physical channels.

Since its Inception in 1985, ARI was able to dramatically grow the awareness of Ayn Rand's work in the US and around the world. The community of people who understand and apply objectivism is continuously growing. The levels of Objectivist content consumption are growing dramatically and ARI continues to release and distribute its contents through an ever-optimized set of media channels.
