Therapy, Adaptive Riding & Equine Facilitated Learning

Special Strides is a multi-disciplinary therapy clinic and adaptive riding center providing equine assisted activities and therapy (EAAT). Located on beautiful Congress Hill Farm in Monroe, NJ, Special Strides is a place where children and adults are inspired to discover their strengths through engagement with horses, therapy, and other farm activities. The therapeutic facility offers a variety of options including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, adaptive horseback riding, and equine facilitated learning.
We treat approximately 110 children and adults a week and our sessions are 45 minutes long. Approximately 60% of our sessions are therapy sessions, 30% are adaptive riding sessions and 10% are equine facilitated learning sessions. Most of our clients come one time per week and we are open Monday through Thursday from 8am until 7:30pm and Saturdays from 9am-3pm.
