THE TRUSTEES OF THE UNIVERSITY OF PENNSYLVANIA ("UNIVERSITY") SEES ITSELF AS HAVING A PUBLIC SERVICE MISSION. IN SUCH REGARD, THE UNIVERSITY AIMS TO PROVIDE A RICH AND DIVERSE EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT FOR ITS STUDENTS; TO PIONEER RESEARCH THAT PUSHES THE BOUNDARIES OF CURRENT HUMAN KNOWLEDGE; AND TO PROVIDE THE MOST CURRENT AND HIGHEST QUALITY PATIENT CARE THROUGH THE UNIVERSITY HEALTH SYSTEM.

Trustees of UPENN Programs

The University consists of 12 schools - the Annenberg School for Communication, the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Dental Medicine, the Graduate School of Education, the School of Engineering and Applied Science, the School of Design, the Law School, the Perelman School of Medicine, the School of Nursing, the School of Social Policy and Practice, the School of Veterinary Medicine, and the Wharton School.

 

The University also is home to the University of Pennsylvania Health System, which includes the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), Pennsylvania Hospital, and the Penn Presbyterian Medical Center.

 

In addition, the University of Pennsylvania houses a myriad of cultural organizations, including the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Institute of Contemporary Art, the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts, the Morris Arboretum, the Arthur Ross Gallery, the Kelly Writers House, and WXPN 88.5 FM public radio.
