Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

Gaudenzia's primary goal is to help people achieve long-term recovery from the ravages of drug and alcohol use. Also, to provide the continuum of services for individuals to become accountable, responsible, productive and contributing members of the community once again.

Gaudenzia develops and maintains agency sites with high physical standards to create a safe, pleasant, and therapeutic environment.

With more than 60 percent of our workforce in active recovery, we empower staff to advance their professional credentials through Gaudenzia's Workforce Academy/Training Institute.

Gaudenzia continues to improve and expand its services, helping individuals, families, and communities overcome the ravages of addiction. This is accomplished through comprehensive treatment and prevention methods guided by a philosophy of mutual concern and responsibility.
Gaudenzia's work, brand, and value are prominently promoted in the communities we serve in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Delaware.
Gaudenzia implements a value-based continuum of care model which includes detoxification, short-, moderate-, and long-term residential care, outpatient and intensive outpatient and prevention services.

Achieve clinical excellence and standardization in all programs to improve overall program outcomes and performance.

Gaudenzia continues to be at the forefront of employee development and entry-level job opportunities to replenish our ever-changing human service workforce.

We meet the rigorous industry standards established by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), our accrediting body.

The agency attracts and maintains a diverse staff of ethical, experienced, credentialed, and dedicated professionals.

The Board of Directors oversees and is kept fully informed of all aspects of the organization.

Gaudenzia continues to address gaps in services, including the most rural communities throughout our geographic footprint.

Gaudenzia is a community asset. Annually, we reach out to newly elected officials, inviting them to become acquainted with our programs that are located in their respective jurisdictions; we also serve as a resource to them on behalf of their constituents.

Data
  • We review compensation data across the organization (and by staff levels) to identify disparities by race.
  • We disaggregate data to adjust programming goals to keep pace with changing needs of the communities we support.
  • We disaggregate data by demographics, including race, in every policy and program measured.
  • We have long-term strategic plans and measurable goals for creating a culture such that one’s race identity has no influence on how they fare within the organization.
Policies and processes
  • We seek individuals from various race backgrounds for board and executive director/CEO positions within our organization.
  • We have community representation at the board level, either on the board itself or through a community advisory board.
  • We help senior leadership understand how to be inclusive leaders with learning approaches that emphasize reflection, iteration, and adaptability.
