Senior Fit

The Aerobic Center boasts that 70 percent of its membership is dedicated to the senior population , 62 and older. We SPECIALIZE in monitored weight training , Water classes, land based EZ duz it classes, and chair aerobics. Whether seniors are NEW TO EXERCISE or are currently active, these programs can help add YEARS TO YOUR LIFE AND LIFE TO YOUR YEARS. Equipment that is user friendly to those who suffer from pain related to arthritis, joint disorders, heart events, etc. is a must. The cost for addtional equipment to accommodate the continually rising numbers of seniors is 50000.

Population(s) Served

The Aerobic Center's ONE ON ONE programs are specialized to accommodate individuals or groups that require the assistance of a certified trainer to workout. Those who have completed PT for joint replacements, those finishing Cardiac Rehab, mentally & physically challenged ,etc. will benefit . The Aerobic Center is the ONLY community fitness facility that offers this type of program. They may use a combination of strengthening equipment and/or our indoor warm water pool (equipped with a lift) al with their own trainer. This eliminates the intimidation factor and are more at ease to complete a half hour workout.

Population(s) Served

This indoor cycling program is video driven. Specialized bikes are used to help increase endurance for teens ages 11 - 18 AND they are welcome to bring parents or siblings(age appropriate) at NO CHARGE. Participants must first complete a fitness assessment with an instructor who will set seat and upper body positions, set short term goals and physically takes them through a ride. They can then use the studio Monday thru Sunday.

Population(s) Served

This program is designed for special needs. It consists of a one hour water aerobics class led by a certified instructor. Aides are welcome to attend & participate at no charge.
