Charting impact

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.

HSLC is a support organization. Our goal is to support other non-profit organizations, particularly libraries, in being the best they can be.

HSLC offers customized technology solutions for libraries, such as network assessments, web site hosting, email list management, etc.

75% of HSLC staff are professional libraries. We know libraries and understand their roles and need for engagement with local communities.

HSLC is annually contracted by the PA Department of Education to host and centrally manage the POWER Library at www. powerlibrary.org. Anything we do in the POWER Library we can do for individual libraries.

HSLC has served libraries for over 30 years, and has been contracted by the PA Office of Commonwealth Libraries since 1990. In that time, we have managed and enhanced the following services: PA statewide catalog and interlibrary loan system; a virtual reference service with librarians on call 24 hours a day; authentication to 30 remote access databases; management of digital archives, and special websites for children Pre K - grades 3 and for teens in intermediate school grades.
