Ecologists Linked for Organizing Grassroots Initiatives and Action dba ECOLOGIA

1) China Initiative: Supports sustainable development, corporate social responsibility, fair trade and poverty alleviation - through micro-finance and earthquake rebuilding projects (Sichuan Province) and "sustainable fibers" for goat, sheep and camel herders (Inner Mongolia and Ningxia Provinces).

2) Global Governance: through participation in the ISO Working Group on Social Responsibility (ISO 26000), creates a global norm, or "voluntary guidance standard" for environmentally and socially responsible behavior by organizations. This work at the policy levels complements our grassroots work with socially responsible businesses in China and in Vermont.

3) International Exchanges and Service Learning: through partnership with Middlebury College, organizes globally-focused service learning opportunities; arrange professional exchanges on topics (such as alternative energy sources, environmental education, organic farming, corporate social responsibility) as needed.

4) Through the Virtual Foundation, our international philanthropic program, supports grassroots projects in the fields of environment, human health, sustainable economic activity and poverty alleviation, in selected regions and countries.
