Our strategy has always been to ask for the current needs from those we partner with and then act on those requests, rather than just assume we know what is needed.

ANA works closely with the communities it serves and finds partners who can help us achieve those goals. As an all volunteer organization, with no paid staff or office to support, ANA can use 95% of its resources for the programs it supports.

Children who are no longer hungry who succeed in the classroom.
Children who understand their vision and hearing is impaired can now take steps to help correct those problems.
The livestock on the reservations have seen huge improvement in their health.
The incidents of feral dog attacks had dramatically decreased.

585 children have received health screenings in 2017 - more will be screened each year.

775 children are now in the back pack program - more will be added each year.

10s of thousands of animals have been spayed, neutered, inoculated, and had surgery - more will be treated each year. A long time goal was realized in 2017, a vet tech was hired for Zuni, making year round access to veterinary care now a reality.

Organizational Demographics

In order to support nonprofits and gain valuable insight for the sector, GuideStar worked with D5—a five-year initiative to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in philanthropy—in creating a questionnaire. This section is a voluntary questionnaire that empowers organizations to share information on the demographics of who works in and leads organizations. To protect the identity of individuals, we do not display sexual orientation or disability information for organizations with fewer than 15 staff. Any values displayed in this section are percentages of the total number of individuals in each category (e.g. 20% of all Board members for X organization are female).
