Mission

Precious Gems Supportive Services (PGSS) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing grief and loss support/counseling to vulnerable populations specifically, children, teens and ethnic minorities; however, all receive service regardless of ability to pay. PGSS has established a program that recognizes that grief is a normal part of life and offers a safe place for children/teens to express those feelings.

Healing Hurts

PGSS provides time limited support groups facilitated by licensed professionals in grief, loss and transitional issues. A speaker's bureau is provided to speak about grief /loss related issues. Refferrals are made for professional counseling services. Additional referrals to community based organizations that provide services to this population. There is no cost for any of the services. We are sponsoring our first Bereavement camp for children this year.
