Programs and results
What we aim to solve
With the implementation of our new streamlined three-college structure — including the Sanford College of Education, College of Professional Studies, and College of Letters and Sciences — we are now able to place further emphasis on student success and degree completion. Our new trajectory also supports our nation’s workforce development through innovative credit alignment and prior learning approaches; sets national standards for both social-emotional learning and General Education curricula tailored to adult learners; and continues to make progress on and research how Precision Education will allow us to personalize education through a combination of ed tech and the talents of our esteemed faculty.

Four powerful questions that require reflection about what really matters - results.
What is the organization aiming to accomplish?
The foundational base of the National University 2023 Strategic Plan is that students are at the center of everything we do. This perspective is infused in the University’s mission, vision, values, and priorities, which continue to serve as guiding principles that will allow us to reach our maximum potential.
What are the organization's key strategies for making this happen?
Values
Our ability to create the ultimate student experience hinges upon the capacity to truly know our students as learners through both instructor-based personalized learning approaches and ever more sophisticated assessments and data utilization.
Quality
Academic quality is paramount to student success. To best achieve this value, we offer a highly supportive student experience that guides learners on their educational journey
to the completion of a degree or certificate program.
Innovation
The contribution of new knowledge is central to the purpose of a modern university. Our valued commitment to innovating within higher education advances opportunities for our students, and all students, within higher education.
Collaboration
Partnering to meet the needs of students provides the most relevant and valued outcome. Whether with potential employers, community agencies, or partnering across disciplines within our own University, we are committed to working together toward student success.
Diversity
We are enriched by the extraordinarily diverse student body, faculty, and staff. Diversity of background, orientation, and thought are necessary and valued elements of a learned society. We proactively seek and support diversity within our entire enterprise.
Access
We believe that access to education is a fundamental right. Barriers to access can be finances, preparation, or simple logistics. We aspire to remove barriers to access as a means of creating social justice and a path toward a more productive life for our students.
